La Dama Vini

Italy

La Dama is a new project, brought to life by the vision, dreams, and energy of Gabriele and his wife Miriam. Upon graduating the University of Padua, and with the help of their parents, Gabriele and Miriam purchased 16 hectares of vineyards in two distinct and historic areas of Valpolicella. They follow the organic principles and in 2015 have obtained the certification. La Dama is based on the passion for wine and for its ancient history, handed down from generation to generation for centuries. This allows us today to obtain much more than a simple drink: when we drink a glass of wine we always know that behind it, there is a story, people, experiences and families.

Cultivating native grape varieties is of fundamental importance Miriam and Gabriele. They fell in love with Valpolicella and
want to remain faithful to its typical products. They look for the maximum expression of historical grapes in all their wines, in a combination that maximizes typicality and tradition.

A more modern term is Pet-Nat.The fermentation takes place in steel tanks and rests for 6 months. It is then blended with the must obtained from dried Molinara grapes and transferred into bottles, where the second fermentation takes place. The fermentation is stopped at 2.5 bar of pressure to retain the frizzante character. The wine is not unfiltered, retaining its natural character. Refreshing and delicious!
