Visconti S.S.

Italy

Located at 365 m a.s.l. on the South-East side of Montalcino, La Palazzetta with 20 hectares of vineyards and 2500 olive trees dominates the magnificent view of the Abbey of Sant’Antimo. The production of Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Sant’Antimo Rosso DOC and extra-virgin olive oil increase the value of the local area and preserve what comes every year from Nature. Not extremely cold winters, hot summers, rainy and humid springtimes and autumns create in these limestone and rocky lands very fragrant wines with intense colours and pleasant acidity and tannins. The natural principles of cultivation and production will receive the organic certification starting with the harvest of 2018.

Flavio and Carla began making wine in 1988 with just one hectare of Sangiovese. Nowadays their children Luca and Tea continue the story that for generations honours the respect and the love for the land.

Ideally served with roasted meat, game and pasta with a wild boar ragu. Outside of its birthplace, it also works well with Beef Bourguignon and a flavourful cassoulet.

Visconti Brunello di Montalcino · Profile

Made with 100% organically grown Sangiovese grapes, this Brunello has an intense garnet red colour. The typical varietal aromas of dark berries are complemented by hints of tobacco and chocolate as a result of having been aged for 3.5 years in the barrel.
