Tenuta Scuotto

Italy

Driven by his passion for wine and the collaboration between nature and man, Eduardo Scuotto settled in Irpinia to start the project Tenuta Scuotto, conceptualized from the outset to serve as a reference point to those looking for high quality and personality wines. Tenuta Scuotto aims to provide the market with products that are different, yet authentic expressions of the terroir; products which are able to convey their unique identity when tasted. Each aspect of their production is characterized by respect for the land, at the same time avoiding uniformity: limited quantity to achieve the best, attention to detail, selective harvesting done by hand and finally ageing. The result is a line-up of premium harmonious, not homogenous, wines. The Scuotto’s family ambition is represented by the idea of matching their wines with a well-defined lifestyle – true pleasure implies no compromise on quality.

Tenuta Scuotto Taurasi Aglianico DOCG · Profile

Taurasi DOCG is a red wine appellation in Irpinia. Aglianico’s success here is largely due to the terroir and topography of the Taurasi zone. Taurasi wines are considered the southern Italian equivalents of Barolo and Barbaresco. They are full bodied with a great ability to age. The bouquet of Tenuta Scuotto’s Taurasi shows good intensity with hints of ripe, black fruit. The taste is dry, warm, soft, with great persistence. Full of delicate and fine tannins. The wine is aged for 12 months in barrique and additional 24 months before its release.
