Azienda Agricola Bric Cenciurio

Italy

The company takes its name from an ancient piece of the hill: “Bric Cenciurio”, or the top of the hill Cenciurio, in the heart of the Langhe.

The vineyards are planted with the prestigious variety of Nebbiolo and refined Arneis born in the lands of Barolo, Castellinaldo and Magliano Alfieri.

The wines are produced following the good agricultural practices handed down through generations, in the knowledge that the grape and wine are products of the living breath of an ecosystem that deserves care and respect.

Langhe Nebbiolo DOC · Profile

This wine is made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes harvested in the family’s Barolo vineyards slightly earlier to produce a fresher, lighter style than their regular Cru Barolo wines. The colour is a pleasantly intense ruby red, the aroma a combination of geranium, raspberry, and strawberry. On the palate, the ripe berry flavours are balanced by well integrated tannins and a fresh acidity. The finish is smooth and velvety with a pleasant, lingering aftertaste of ripe berries and spice.

This wine pairs well with mature cheeses, red sauce pasta dishes such as lasagna and parpadelle with a Bolognese sauce, grilled red meats, and venison.

Langhe Riesling DOC · Profile

This wine is made with 100% Riesling Renano (“Rhine”) grapes, the same variety that made German white wines world famous. While delivering an entirely different character, it found a perfect habitat in hillside vineyards around the town of Barolo where the cooler night time temperatures help the grapes to ripen in perfect harmony between natural sugar and acidity, complemented by this regions specific minerality. The colour of the wine is an intense yellow with flecks of green and gold. The aroma is a pleasant combination of yellow stone fruit and a crisp, pronounced acidity. The finish is harmonious and refreshing.
