Since 2014 Enotri has partnered with Sublime Wines in Sherwood Park, Alberta and local chefs to produce and host a Gastronomy Series of events. Six dishes, expertly crafted by our partner chefs, are paired with wines from the Enotri portfolio to guide guests on a culinary journey that will awaken their taste buds and explore the many ways to enjoy wine.
December 8, 2016, marked the sixteenth entry in the Gastronomy Series and featured six incredible Indian dishes prepared by NAIT’s own Chef Harjeet Mehdwan. Indian food is comprised of complex flavours and spice combinations that mingle on your palate and ignite each of your senses, and each dish comprised of a wholly unique flavour experience with which to pair our wines.
The wines chosen for each pairing had to stand up to the bold flavours of each dish without overpowering it, and the six chosen pairings beautifully complimented each dish. The full menu with wine pairings is available here, but the wines selected were:
We were very lucky to have Francesca Dal Cero in attendance from the Dal Cero family of wines. She was able to bring to life the story of both the Tenuta Montecchiesi Przeiosaterra and the Corte di Giacobbe Pinot Grigio Ramato wines, as well as share the story of the Dal Cero vineyards in Cortona and Vento, Italy.
